RECORD VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION CAMP
A mega camp for voluntary blood donation camp was organized at Engineering College Kota on 3rd March 2005 under the guidance of Dr. A.K. Dwivedi, NCC Officer. In this camp, 408 Units of blood was donated by NCC cadets, NSS Students, Other girls and boys faculty and staff member of Engg. College, Kota. The Camp was inaugurated by Principal Dt. Y.P. Mathur by donation a unit of blood. On this Occasion. representatives of Indian Red Cross Society Sh. Mahavir Chandra Bhandari and Sh. Shanti Bhandari were also present. they have provided financial assistance for the smooth running of the camp. Dr. Divedi Informed that every year, the College is organizing such Camps since last 10 year. Last year around 300 units of blood were donated by the members of Engg. College, Kota. The Camp was conducted by NCC under officer Sh. Kishore Tak and his fellow cadets. The faculty member of College Sh. Anil K Mathur, Sh. C.D. Prasad, Sh. N.P. Kaushik, Sh. H.D. Chavan and Dr. R.C. Gaur has taken Keen interest in motivating the student for this noble cause and provided their who heart support for the success organisation of camp. The services rended by Dr. Naresh N. Rai, incharge blood bank MBS Hospital, Dr. Jagdish Sharma, Dr. Rakesh, Dr. Vineet Sharma and staff incharge Sh. Durgesh Mehta was highly appreciation by college administration. Dr. Rai informed that this is the biggest Camp of any Institute in Rajasthan. He informed that around 150 Thelisemia patients are given blood every month by MBS Hospital. This type of increased demand is being fulfilled by such mega Camps. In the end Dr. Y.P.
